KMC's newest FlexStat models offer CO2 sensing and IP connectivity.

BAC-12xxxx FlexStats
On the outside, BAC-12xxxx FlexStats look like the existing line of BAC-10000 series FlexStats, but they offer:

  • -Inputs for six external sensors (instead of three)
  • -Advanced firmware that gives options such as for a remote space temperature sensor (including remote only, averaging, highest, or lowest selections), and
  • -Other model options including BACnet communication over Ethernet, over IP, over IP as Foreign Device, as well as over standard MS/TP.

KMC BACnet-IP Flex-Stats
The IP-based KMC FlexStat opens up extraordinary possibilities including the ability to install controls at a much lower initial per site investment. Because it is an IP based product,  the integrator can use the KMC FlexStat to leverage a single central instance of Niagara to integrate many remote assets easily and seamlessly.

This flexible application-specific device has five “canned” onboard factory applications. The device is not only an IP-based application specific device, but also offers the ability to modify the application via the Niagara KMC tool set.

Leverage one instance of Niagara to integrate remote sites via IP, with applications such as:

  • Retail, chain and convenience stores
  • K-12 classrooms and educational environments
  • Commercial property management
  • Data and IT rooms
  • Remote cellular sites
  • And, that's just to name a few.

Combine this outstanding IP based product with an IP plant control product such as an Easy IO Sedona/BACnet controller and the advantages are clear.

BAC-13xxxx FlexStats
The BAC-13xxxx FlexStats include all these new features plus a built-in CO2 sensor with demand control ventilation sequences. The BAC-13xxxx series uses Automatic Background Logic, or ABC Logic, a patented self-calibration technique designed to be used in applications where concentrations will drop to outside ambient conditions (approximately 400 ppm) at least three times in a 14 day period, typically during unoccupied periods. When used according to specifications, this series has been certified to comply with CA Title 24, Section 121(c), as well as sub-paragraph 4.F that specifies accuracy will be maintained within tolerance for a minimum of 5 years without recalibration and that a detected sensor failure will cause the controller to take appropriate corrective action.

BAC-1000 FlexStats
KMC FlexStats are Niagara Ready. With the Niagara tool jar, program any of the KMC BACnet devices in your Niagara environment from your JACE or WorkBench.

Unitary controllers (e.g., RTU, HP, AHU, FCU and VAV) come fully programmed from the factory and can be completely reprogrammed with the Niagara KMC tool set.

With the KMC FlexStat series of intelligent temperature/humidity/motion-sensing, wall-mounted, thermostat/controllers benefit from a single out of the box application specific, communicating DDC thermostat that covers FCU, RTU, HP and AHU applications and have the ability to change the programming of the device to suit your application needs.

The FlexStat simplifies networked zone control for common HVAC equipment (e.g., packaged rooftop units, air handlers, fan coil units, and heat pumps), which can be controlled via the on-board library of programs built into the FlexStat. The library enables rapid configuration of a wide range of HVAC control applications via the FlexStat’s easy-to-use display and buttons. The standard library can be customized (using the new Niagara tool jar, BAC-stage or Total Control) to meet the unique site needs and application specific requirements of a particular project.

Your complex control specifications. Solved with FlexStat.
