Days 1 & 2 (Taught by a Honeywell instructor):
Prerequisites: Mandatory: NiagaraAX Certification
Recommended: WEBs-AX Core Competency
Class is designed for students already NiagaraAX certified. Class starts by introducing the student to the Honeywell Spyder series of programmable unitary controllers and advances to job implementation. The class topics include specifications, architecture, commissioning, function blocks, simulation, debugging, downloading, Lon network variables, proxy points, time schedules, applications, macros and sample programs.
Day 3 (Taught by Jim Stiber of CCI):
Real world Spyder Usage, Tips and Tricks:
Spyder product line overview, Spyder tool compatibility with Niagara releases and JACE hardware compatibility. ILC and WEB’s Spyder, BACnet and LonWorks models, protocol pros/cons. Everyday usage by integrators for large and small projects. Tips and tricks, do’s and don’ts. Vav balancing, tool inspection and confirmation and many other real world usage information.
Students should come prepared with a laptop tool loaded with the latest rev. of the WEB’s AX Workbench software and a LonTalk interface card. Live Spyder demo boards are provided.
